ABOUT US

We are a Turkish literary translators’ organization founded with the aim of protecting the economic and moral rights of book translators and contributing to the development of the profession of translation in Turkey. Our initiative started as an e-discussion group in the summer of 2003, and eventually, after many discussions and meetings, it was given a semi-official status in June 2006 by the name of ÇEVBİR (Professional Association of Turkish Book Translators).

Qui sommes-nous?

ÇEVBIR, l’organisation professionnelle disposant un statut officiel est créée dans le but de protéger les droits moraux et matériels des traducteurs et assurer le perfectionnement de la profession de traduction. ÇEVBIR s’est mise officiellement en activité au mois de Juin 2006, après que sa forme soit élaborée à la suite des discussions parmi les adhérents d’un e-platforme.

WER SIND WIR?

ÇEVBİR ist ein Verband für den Schutz der materiellen und geistigen Rechte der Bücherübersetzer in der Türkei, der aus einer im August 2003 entstandenen E-Mail-Diskussionsgruppe hervorgegangen ist. Er wurde für die Entwicklung des Übersetzerberufs gegründet und hat seit Juni 2006 einen legalen Status.

 ¿QUIENES SOMOS?

ÇEVBIR es una asociación de profesionales fundada con estatuto oficial con el sólo afán de desarrollar la profesión de traducción y de proteger los derechos económicos y legales de los traductores de libros en Turquía. Los preparativos para la fundación de ÇEVBIR se iniciaron tras el intercambio de ideas realizadas entre un grupo de correo electrónico en el mes de Agosto del año 2003, y así fueron perfeccionándose  hasta que se oficializó su fundación en el mes de Junio del año 2006.
